This year my agency has the honor once again of sponsoring a team for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.  I am a proud supporter of this event because it hits very close to home.  After losing my Dad , Paul Doherty in February of 2008, I vowed to take a stand.  If you stop to take just one minute to think, you will be able to remember somebody you too have lost to cancer.  Its a disease that takes over a million lives a year.  With fundraisers like Relay for Life, we, as family members and friends of survivors and those lost to cancer, are able to raise funds to help support the American Cancer Society and their quest to find a cure. Every penny raised goes straight to research to find a cure and also to the many many services the American Cancer Society offers to those battling this relentless disease. 

1 out of 4 people will be diagnosed with cancer, but 1 out of 4 people will also survive cancer.  WE ARE  MAKING PROGRESS!!! Please join myself and the many others fighting back against cancer.  Donate money, become involved, we WILL make a difference.....we ARE making a difference.
