As the founder of Paul D. Doherty Insurance Agency, and my father, Paul was dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.  Dad took pride in his work, not just offering quality insurance products to our valued customers, but also in educating our customers about insurance. 

Dad started in the insurance industry 45 years prior to his passing in 2008.  He started as a claims adjuster, worked as an underwriter, and eventually established his own agency in Visalia, CA.  Having been raised in the Central Valley, it was his dream to have his business here to serve his local community.  Dad was married for 45 years with 4 children, all of whom worked for him at one time or another growing up.  Paul D. Doherty Insurance Agency is a family owned and operated business, and always has been.  The agency started writing auto insurance in 1984 and throughout the years we have increased our lines of business and now offer Homeowners, Dwelling Fire,  Renters, Specialty products such as ATV, RV's. Mobilehomes, Flood insurance, Personal Umbrellas, Motorcyles, Boats, Personal Watercraft, Wedding event coverage, Personal Bonds, and Classic Car Insurance.  My goal for the near future is to offer Life/Health and Disability Insurance and Commercial Lines.

It was because of the loyalty and dedication to his customers that Dad built relationships with his customers on a personal basis and I am proud and honored to be able to carry on that level of service to all my new and existing customers.

Dad taught me everything I know, and I was lucky to have been able to work along side  such a wonderful man for 17 years.  I am also lucky to be able to carry on this wonderful business in memory of him.
